We are looking for an experienced and qualified full-time German to English translator to join our in-house team based at our head office in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translating a variety of texts such as technical manuals (IT, telecommunications, logistics), legal documents, business and financial texts and press releases from German to English
• Meeting tight deadlines
• Proofreading and revision work
• Liaising closely with our translation project managers and other in-house translators

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Fluent German, English to native standard
• Degree-level education in translation
• Several years professional translation experience a definite advantage
• Experience with translation tools such as SDL Trados and memoQ
• Knowledge of other languages a definite advantage, in particular French and/or Spanish
• EU translation experience a definite advantage
• Good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office applications
