21 September, 2009
The Language Technology Centre Ltd (LTC) announced today that it has won another two framework contracts with the European Commission.

“We have worked with the Translation Directorate of the European Commission since 1998 on a very regular basis, and have won numerous framework contracts,” explains Dr. Adriane Rinsche, managing director of LTC. “We are proud that our consistently high quality and diligence means that we are asked to carry out large volume translation work outsourced to us by the European Institutions on a regular basis.”

The framework contracts cover 18 language pairs from Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene and Swedish into English. The subject matters are transport, energy, telecommunications and information technology, which are core areas of translation expertise at LTC. They add to contracts that are already being serviced with the same language pairs in the areas of agriculture, environment, fisheries and natural sciences as well as for legal matters, won several months ago.

“Our success with institutions lies in stringent practices that we have in place that ensure high quality, accountability and competitive pricing,” Dr Rinsche added, “which our numerous corporate customers also appreciate.”
