At The Language Technology Centre we have more than 10 years experience managing complex, large-scale software and website localisation projects. Our processes are well-defined and thoroughly documented and can be modified to meet your needs.
First, we advise you on internationalisation issues, if applicable. Internationalisation means the preparation of your source code to facilitate the quick and hassle-free localisation of your product. The earlier you internationalise, the easier and more cost-effective it will be. Good preparation also means faster turnaround time for updates and quicker implementation of additional languages.
We then localise your software or website. Our team of localisation experts uses only cutting-edge localisation, translation and workflow tools that are chosen to suit your project. By doing so, we can offer affordable prices and fast turnaround times, even for complex projects.
We have expertise not only in software and website localisation but also in all aspects of translation. We can translate your content, such as online help, samples and sample databases, printed manuals, marketing brochures, installation guides, copyright information, packaging and so on, from many native formats.
Our team of Localisation experts will be happy to help you every step of the way.
We are proud of our team of experienced project managers, as well as our large database of localisers who are proficient in over 40 languages and who have knowledge in a wide range of subject areas.
The Language Technology Centre has a large database of certified localisers who cover many subject areas, such as computing, software, telecommunications, finance, law and engineering in more than 40 languages. Our experts are thoroughly assessed before they are included in our database. We assign only native speakers of the target language who have appropriate knowledge of the subject area.
For website localisation, we only collaborate with translators who have prior experience in this field and who also have knowledge of the relevant subject area. Moreover, our engineers pre-examine the strings to be translated and flag potential issues to the translators, such as variables, date formats, country-specific legal regulations, and so on.
In-house software engineers
Software engineers who specialise in internationalisation and localisation are responsible for all the technical aspects of your project. Our engineers have experience developing applications in many software languages. They know how to solve all technical localisation issues. LTC engineers advise your software developers during the preparation of the software on issues related to resource strings, accented characters, date formats, currency formats, links to international help files, and so on.
Use of advanced software tools
The Language Technology Centre regularly evaluates localisation and translation tools from a technical, linguistic and workflow-related point of view. LTC always uses the most advanced and appropriate tools to support each localisation project.
Depending on the requirements of the project, LTC will develop in-house tools to support client-specific localisation and quality control, if no appropriate commercial tools are available.
